The tragedy of old age is not
that one is old, but that one is young.
Where we want to be
““Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18)”
Now the institute is running in a leased facility. It is a semi pucca building of 12400 sq. Feet with 18 tiled rooms. Though the facility is really good, it is fast becoming insufficient with the increasing number of occupants. Though some modifications could make the facility big enough, we are not able to extend the facility because of the contract agreement. The owner of the facility is ready to sell it. So we are planning to buy the same
Right now the institution has strength of 662 students, 264 boys and 398 girls. But even if we accept the very potential applications we receive, it will be touching 1000 in no time. For this we need to provide more classrooms, more furniture and more books in the library. Even we will have to increase the hostel facilities for the poor girls. And because we are providing free education for the underprivileged classes and because most of the applications come from them, more investment per student would be required from the institution.
This is just a list of the very short term plans for the future. In the long term we are planning to introduce more vocational courses, which would be of a very good use to the people who want to get a job very soon. When we started the institution, we hoped to provide education for all the needy sections of the society with the stress on the economic backwardness rather than on the caste equation. But as we ran out of funds, we had to make a choice and we had to choose the caste equation. But slowly as the economic equation is changing, the consideration of economic status is fast becoming the order of the day. What we strive to achieve in the very long term is helping the poorer sections of the society irrespective of caste.
